Freeze Well Drilling Canada

Aquarius Freeze Wall

2200 Freeze wells drilled with directionally controlled drilling to 700 feet. Wells were not allowed to deviate from center in the full alignment of the hole to ensure no gaps occur wall. The wall, anchored into the basement rock through the nearly 700 feet of overburden acts as a fence. The nearly 7000 HP of compression circulates sub-freezing brine fluid up and down the length of the well to create a heat draw. The water traveling past the wells under the ground freezes around the wells eventually creating a 20 foot thick wall of ice and an impermeable barrier. Once the wall begins to freeze, water wells in the center of the fenced ring pump the water level down in the now frozen bowl allowing access for mining previously unsafe.
